ACTIVITIES:

Every day at TOMKAT we have a full schedule of activities. We have wild and crazy activities such as the pirate battle, turbo paint twister, and finger paint wars. We also have quieter activities like storytime at night, board game marathons, and two crafts every day. Additionally, there are educational classes, discussions, and demonstrations. Campfires, hiking, a talent show, sing alongs, swimming, and just relaxing with new friends makes it so there is always something to do!

FOOD:

At TOMKAT, you get three meals a day and a snack. The serve-yourself breakfast bar is open 24 hours a day and full of food such as cereals, bagels, oatmeal, fruit, teas, coffee, and hot chocolate. Lunch and dinner are communal meals. For every two to three days that you are at TOMKAT, you’ll help out with one kitchen shift, either during the day or evening, cooking or cleaning, to make sure we are a well oiled machine.

ABOUT VENUE:

You arrive at Fox Haven via a long and winding driveway that passes forest, ponds, granite rock, and wetlands. Spiraling off are trails to campsites situated in the midst of beautiful natural areas. Explore the private lake, see the water lilies, row over to the island, and maybe even get the chance to wave at the beavers as they work!

Fox Haven is situated on over 130 acres of land and surrounded by additional wilderness. Animals such as moose, sandhill cranes, eagles, beaver, foxes, herons, turtles, and more call this home.

The camp is set apart from the world in a way that enables a group to be secure in the knowledge that only those invited can access the camp. The drive is over a kilometer long and TOMKAT has a combination lock on the gate by the road whose code is known only by those who should be here. This privacy allows people to feel freer to express their true selves and explore aspects of themselves they don’t always feel comfortable showing.

Fox Haven is open all year round. There are two permanent buildings with indoor beds. Within these buildings are 12 beds for attendees (seven double beds and five single beds). Both buildings are easily heated using wood-burning stoves. In addition, there are around 50 campsites available for tents on the property.

There is an all-seasons on site washroom with running water, and limited access to electricity. Fox Haven is off-grid and functions through a combination of solar power, manpower, and generator power (when necessary). Additionally, there are outdoor showers near the main building, a three-seasons washroom with running water, and a number of outhouses scattered about the camp.

A full kitchen is located in the main cabin and is fully stocked. There is also a big pantry, a chest freezer, and gardens overflowing with fresh herbs. Outside, on the deck that overlooks the private lake, are many barbecues.

TOMKAT’S MISSION

TOMKAT is an AB/DL/ageplay focused week-long camping experience that happens twice a year in beautiful northern Ontario, Canada. In 2013, four Littles Communities in Canada came together to create an event where ageplayers could enjoy a camp experience together. They called it T.O.M.K.A.T (Toronto Ottawa Montreal Kingston Ageplay Tribe). The first event was held in October of 2013. Today, TOMKAT includes attendees from all over the world including Australia, Bermuda, the USA, and more.

TOMKAT was founded for the ageplay community. Today, while most attendees are ageplayers and their caregivers, we also have many bigs, middles, puppies, furries, and friends who attend. Our attendees are of diverse ages, genders and backgrounds.

Are you an ageplayer or someone who enjoys spending time with littles? Do you enjoy camping outdoors in a beautiful place? Do you like the idea of forming a community for the week and making some wonderful memories? If so, then you are someone who would enjoy TOMKAT!
